Taal Se Taal Mila

By: Pritha Bannerjee (LT MHPS)

Music does bring people together. It allows us to experience the same emotions. People everywhere are the same in heart and spirit. No matter what language we speak, what colour we are, the form of our politics or the expression of our love and our faith, music proves-We are same.                                                                                                                 –    By John Denver

Taal Se Taal Mila does prove this. As the name suggests, it is a musical event. Organised every month, mostly on the 3rd Saturday, after office hours, it is an initiative taken by the Dhanush Team to connect hearts through music. L&T Faridabad Campus employees have responded open heartedly to this and many of us eagerly wait to be a part of the event along with our colleagues, seniors and also family members.

TSTM is a platform for all music lovers, singers, musicians, performers. Not only music, mimicry and poetry is also an essential part of it. We can come and sing along, play, recite or simply enjoy the performances. With approximate two –three hours durability, it is full of entertainment & entertainment- a good start to the weekend, making your mood relaxed and happy after a busy week loaded with projects, deliverables and other works.

An essential part of TSTM includes the performers comprising of our guitarists, vocalists, the newly arrived Karaoke System and of course, our audience. While relishing on to your evening snacks, you can hum along the tunes of the diversified melodious performances, starting from regional folk songs to today’s party songs or old Bollywood songs. The Karaoke system makes the event more perfect by adding proper support to our vocalists. Thanks to the musicians also for creating an awesome vibe that run through your mind after every performance and even at the end of the event, your mood remains tuneful. Every time, a theme is selected based on which performances are planned. But outside theme also people perform as per their own choice. There’s no hard-n-fast rule. The only theme of TSTM is MUSIC & MELODY.

Being a part of TSTM Team, I feel lucky enough to get to listen to various regional songs including Bengali, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Tamil and even Haryanvi. The best part what I like is to see our seniors enjoying and singing to songs of the Golden era- the songs of Kishore, Rafi, Mukesh. Both Duet & solo performances are enjoyed by the audience. In between we do have mimicry and poetry performances as fillers. In total, it is a complete package that comes with fun and refreshment.

With all credit to the organisers and performers, it is a very big and a popular event inside FBD campus.

Bravo ! True presentation of inner feelings of all the participants as well as the audience.Gradually with seven episodes, the group is getting enlarged…due to honest efforts by local management and every individual.
