How did you develop interest in Music?

Choosing Music over Karate as an extra-curricular activity when i was in 4th standard , was a stepping stone and it did not take lot of  time for it to turn into one of my most relished hobbies.

Do you have any other interests apart from music?

I love to sketch and have also learnt and performed Bharatanatyam for almost 8 years .

When did you perform first?

During my school days i was part of the school choir and used to perform in the numerous group singing competitions.

My first solo performance was in college, for Rotract Club, when friends had pushed me in to participate. I sang “Tum Se Hi” from the movie Jab we met and stood second in the competition.

What genre of music do you like?

I like listening to soft music. Also I have grown hearing to Indi pop music so it’s definitely one of my favourites too.

Which singer do you idolize?

Asha Ji,because  her voice and her versatility has always been an inspiration for me . I like Shreya ghosal among the new singers as her voice always touches my heart.

Have you ever had stage-fear?

Everyone does. I was scared to sing in ‘Taal se Taal mila’ organised by Dhanush. All faces were new to me so obviously i was a bit scared in the beginning  but the audience support helped me overcome my fear. I have no stage-fear now.dsc_2855

Any specific interest to follow in future?

I always wanted to play mandolin and will hopefully  join classes for it in the near future .
