Soho Bistro & Cafe – A Review

By Ayush Jain (L&T MHPS)

With the plethora of cafes, restaurants, bars and everything in between opening at every nook & corner of the city, unique and gratifying experiences are hard to come by.

Fortunately, I had such an experience recently which has led me to review this particular establishment. Located in Saiyad ul Ajaib, Sainik Farms away from the usual bustling centres of New Delhi, Soho Bistro & Cafe is a hidden gem you should definitely explore.

From the outside, it hardly seems anything out of the ordinary. But the real magic happens as you enter the cafe.

What makes Soho unique, is the wide array of offerings it has whether it be the ambience, the food or the various leisure activities it has to offer.

The ambience alone will make you fall in love with the place. You have multiple options, you can either sit on comfortable cushions on the floor with a round centre table or you can sit outside in the rear of the cafe enjoying a natural setting. The outdoors are really picturesque, with a white seating arrangement against a backdrop of colourful potted plants neatly arranged on the wall.

Apart from the above, Soho offers you the option to just relax with your favourite snack/beverage and read from an eclectic collection of books. If you are not in the mood to read, you can enjoy indoor games/activities like Jenga/Uno/Cards/Board games to keep you engaged at length.

As far as the food is concerned, Soho has a delectable menu and there is a variety of Italian/Continental dishes and are served with a pleasing presentation. Some must-try options include- pancakes, crepes, egg-based dishes, smoothies and the crepes. The staff is courteous, quick and well informed of the menu.

The interior theme is very chic and gives you a warm, cosy feeling. All in all, the bistro is a must-visit. Head out as soon as you can!
