After always visiting Delhi and Gurgaon for good food along with quality entertainment, it came as a surprise when my husband was recommended “Tama” by his colleagues for my birthday dinner. We would have most definitely driven to Delhi for dinner after office, if it were not for Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal implementing the odd-even policy to curb pollution. Unfortunately, we have an odd numbered car, and my birthday was on a even numbered day, hence Faridabad was the only option. Fortunate for us, we found this awesome place. I fell in love with the place instantly and decided that day itself that a review needs to come up in the upcoming edition to enlighten people of Faridabad.
Tama Brewary & World Kitchen, located at Sector 16 , Faridabad is yet another fine addition to the ever growing club and lounge culture of Delhi NCR. Located close to Old Faridabad Metro station, it is a popular destination for a casual dining experience.
Located in the Huda Market of Sector-16, Tama would be tough to miss out due to its bright external lighting. The desk on the entrance leads to a stairway with lift facilities which leads to the restaurant. Tama is known for hosting good live music in its large space. The interiors welcome you with low lighting for a feast of food. There is ample seating which is spread around the live music area. However, the restaurant lacks outdoor seating, which would have been an instant appeal in the winter months. Nonetheless looking into the polluted weather, we were okay with a covered area. The manager is very courteous and instantly found us a perfect seating area – a high seat meant for 4. There are mixed seating arrangement from chairs to recliners to stools. Prior reservation was not needed to visit the place.
The menu had limited items which made it easier to serve quickly. Tama offers North Indian and Continental cuisine with optionbetween various Veg and Non-veg items – appetizers, momos, tandoor, salad & chaat, soups, pizza, pasta, and much more. While we were deciding on what to order, we were surprised with complementary golgappa shots which was an instant mood lifter. We ordered a few simple dishes like – Peanut Masala, English fish & chips & Grilled Chicken steak. The quanity was more than enough for two people. Tama has its own brewery and you can taste each drink before making up your mind to order one.
The peanut masala had the perfect mix of all ingredients and helped in increasing our craving for food further. Next, arrived the English Fish & Chips. The fish had a thin coating and were crispy on the outside while very juicy inside. The Chicken steak was served with rice and some sautéed vegetables. It was an instant hit forus as bongs love rice in everything. The taste was very good, and by the end of it we were full.
The food was served with minimum waiting time and left me with a craving to visit the place once more. We savoured the taste of Continental and to some desi chakhna. The service was equally warm. We were immediately attended to by smiling waiters who guided us through the menu in complete detail.
The Price of the food is reasonable. A full course meal for two should at max range between Rs 1200 – Rs 1400 (with alcohol).
But, food is not the only attraction for the place. The live music is equally welcoming with good bands and singers. We enjoyed Bollywood sufi on the night of our visit and the singer was very kind to sing Happy Birthday to me along with a famous Bollywood number “Kyu ki tum hi ho…” as per dedication request of my husband. This was the final touch to the already great experience I was having there.
Overall, Tama is a great place to hang out with friends and has a great dining experience with food of exquisite flavours. It is thriving with the mix crowd of family and friends who choose it as a popular destination for celebrations of Birthdays or other events. For this reason, I would strongly recommend you to go to Tama Brewery & World Kitchen.
