Treasure Hunt

Faridabad Campus started New Year Celebrations by organizing Treasure Hunt – 2018 on 2nd Jan, 2018. Many of the employees actively participated and enjoyed the event. First prize was won by Mr. Ankita Jain, Second prize by Mr. Ayush Jain and third prize went to Mr. Istiaque Ali Khan, L&T-MHPS Boilers Pvt. Ltd.


Television Production & Digital Media Training Programme under Prayas Trust-Nai Umang (Ladies Club) Corporate Social Initiative

After grand success of Swnirbhar Naari Programme conducted for EWS women in 2015, Nai Umang has decided to initiate another great initiative, “Media Training programme” under corporate social initiative during this year towards women empowerment.

In this context a skill based training programme for 43 EWS females has been started on 04th Dec, 2017 at House No. – 52 Street No. – 110 Churiya Muhala, Tekhand Village, Okhla Phase 1, New Delhi on 04th Dec, 2017 in association with PHD Family Welfare Association, New Delhi.  After successful completion of the programme a grand felicitation programme was organized by PHD House in New Delhi on 17th January, 2018.

Road Safety Week

Road safety week was celebrated at our Faridabad Campus. Safety has always been a prime focus area for us. To achieve “Zero Accident Vision”, we should always follow road safety rules.

Every year “ROAD SAFETY WEEK” is observed with a theme under the guidance of Ministry of Road Transport & Highways from 8th to 14th January. This year theme was “Avoid Over Speeding – Prevent Accidents”.

The objective was to emphasize the importance of traffic rules and create awareness amongst people about road safety measures, reducing road accident & encouraging safe driving practices.

LARSEN & TOUBRO–Faridabad New Initiative for Social Empowerment – Free Cooking Course

A unique initiative for the social empowerment has been taken by Larsen & Toubro Faridabad.

Where Government Departments have aimed at uplifting economical weaker section of our society and started making new plans, and several Non – Governmental Organizations are beginning to raise their voice for rights.

Towards enhancing the strength Larsen & Toubro – Faridabad launched free beautician and sewing course under corporate social responsibility (named Swanirbhar Nari) for the women’s empowerment in 2015-16. Today many of them are doing jobs in export houses. Some of them have started their own Beauty Parlor and tailoring centre.

Based on the success of this programme L&T-Faridabad – Ladies Club (Prayas Trust) started new programme named Digital Media during Dec-2017. The programme provided training on how to use camera, videography, photography, light camera, action and audio visual effects etc.

In continuation to above skill building and empowerment programme L&T-Ladies Club Faridabad has initiated new programme on cooking course from 22nd Jan, 2018 in association with NSIC (G. D. Institute of Skill Development). This is a free of cost two months programme.

The Programme was inaugurated by Mr. R. Sitaraman, DGM – Project Implementation & Administration along with Mr. G. D. Mehta Founder G. D. Institute, senior members of ladies club were also present.

LARSEN & TOUBRO–Faridabad’s New Initiative-Television & Digital Media Workshop for Youth Empowerment

L&T- Faridabad has initiated the programme on Television and Digital Media Workshop for 11th class Students of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sarai Khwaja, Faridabad from 29th Jan, 2018 in association with PHD Family Welfare Association, PHD House, New Delhi. This is a free of cost four weeks programme.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. (Mrs.) Munesh Chaudhary, Block Education Officer, Sector-28, Education Dept. Faridabad, Haryana. Mr. D. S. Kapoor, Head – Project Implementation & Administration, Mrs. Neelam Kaushik, Principal, GMSSS, Sarai Khwaja, Members of PHD Family Welfare Foundation, New Delhi, Mr. R . Sitaraman, DGM, Ladies Club Members and Programme Coordinators were also present. Snacks were distributed to all the students.
