“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.”

-Henry Ford

Enlightenment presented by CREST – The learning club of L&T Faridabad turned 6 on 4th July 2015. A date which sweetly coincides with the birth anniversary of our co-founder – Late Henning Holck Larsen. Six years of continuous learning journey has been a gilt edged experience thereby safeguarding the ethos of L&T.

The process of ‘Learning’ is incomplete without a ‘GURU’. Today on 5th September, I take this opportunity to wish my fellow colleagues ‘Happy Teachers Day’ & Happy Janamashtami.

After President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with students on the eve of Teachers’ Day, let this spirit of ‘ Be a Teacher’ always be our guiding light to create a glorious country.  Team Enlightenment would also like to pay heartfelt condolences to one of our famous Indian Music composer Mr. Adesh Shrivastava who passed away leaving behind scores of hits that have enthralled all music lovers.

I realize we are nearing the end of this year & the September month has always been one of the special months for all of us for it being the month which sets the stage for all the important festivals in India. One interesting fact about this month is that it begins on the same day of the week as December every year. Don’t believe it? I am sure half of us by now would be checking our Calendar.

This month’s Enlightenment Edition brings to you a plethora of interesting articles & compositions like a Movie review of ‘Inside Out’ which takes us through the emotional journey of a 11years old girl whose world turns upside down when she & her parents move to San Francisco. Review on ‘Lights Camera Action’ , a restaurant  in the heart of the Hauz Khas Village will definitely make you think whether to explore this place.  Article on Onomatopoeia will give you an understanding about the formation of a word from a sound associated with what is named.

Spirituality in its true sense & existence can be felt in the article on Water. If you are interested in learning a different form of poem writing ‘ Haiku’, do spend some time in the writers corner.

‘Gucci vs Gukki’ is a funny description on how specially Delhi Aunties (No offence to anyone) hilariously pronounce the word Gucci. Our focus in “Infocus” has been on Mr. Bonsai-Shri.Gnaneshwar Kakde. Do read it to know more about him and his craft. Biztech (Business + Tec Section) has to offer you articles on TESLA Wall & ‘Managers as decision Engineers’.

Anything on Leh has always been of interest for almost all of us. A brief write-up on how our fellow employee finally got ‘Lehd’ will take you to a mesmerizing, heavenly feeling of being a part of his continuous journey of exploration & self-discovery.

Also read the book review contributed on “When only love remains”  authored by Durjoy Dutta. We specially appreciate this and solicit more such contributions from our fellow readers.

Wacky web has to offer an interesting article on ‘Namasutra’. To know more, just click.

@ Home section, as always tries to capture some special family moments like the brother sister bond, motherhood-fatherhood, owning a new car etc.

Team Enlightenment has restored its much loved Flash game in the fun section.

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” – A quote by Benjamin Franklin beautifully expresses the way Team Enlightenment has been operating. Be a part of Enlightenment by sharing your creative ideas & writings and let this spirit of learning through involvement be witnessed by all of us.

On behalf of CREST, the entire team of Enlightenment would like to extend a heartfelt gratitude to all our seniors & colleagues for showering their blessings. The amount of support and enthusiasm we have received for years by you deserves it all. It has been a mutually rewarding journey as Enlightenment has truly placed itself as the fountainhead of new ideas and learning processes. The bottom-line purpose is sharing of knowledge which occurs only when people are genuinely interested in helping one another develop new capacities for action. And it is hearty to see that actually happen. The latest issue is now before you. Hope you enjoy this Edition as much as we did in bringing it to you.

– Team Enlightenment
