The Unsettled Question

By Priyarupa Sinha ( L&T-MHPS )

Each time I stretch  to grip my pen,

it refuses to scratch.

My ideas remain scattered about every which way .

Ruminating on the past disappointments ,

it soon realizes that not all the perplexities of life can be solved ;

but it declines to concede a sorrowful conclusion.

It has to learn to unlearn and overlook the irrelevant concerns,

for I need the core and not the locus.

It’s time to deal squarely with the facts.

It’s time to settle the unsettled.
